Central Pennsylvania's Premier High School Business Program
The School of Business and Industry (SBI) Prep Program at Harrisburg High School is Central Pennsylvania's premier college-preparatory business program for high-achieving students in grades 9 through 12. Founded in 1991 in partnership with Florida A&M, the SBI Prep Program provides Harrisburg students with rigorous academic preparation, professional development training, and real-world business exposure that positions them for success in college and careers.
Our program transforms motivated young people into confident, career-ready leaders through a unique combination of classroom instruction, mentorship, and hands-on corporate experiences found nowhere else in the Capital Region.
Real-World Business Experience Starts in
High School
Our scholars maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA while engaging in a comprehensive curriculum that blends academic excellence with professional skill-building. Our four-year program includes mentoring relationships with business professionals, corporate site visits and field trips, job shadowing experiences, paid internship opportunities, guest speaker series, career forums, and extensive networking events with regional and national employers.
Students develop essential competencies in business communication, professional etiquette, financial literacy, and leadership—skills that give SBI scholars a competitive advantage when applying to top universities and entering the workforce.
